Brooke Hospital

I have been completely enchanted by horses since the age of 3. Over the years I have been fortunate enough to have had and trained several horses, initially focusing on Eventing. However, after seeing Dr. Reiner Klimke ride Pascal and then the great Alherich at Goodwood in the 1980's, I turned to Dressage. I could see that dressage combined the horse and rider in complete harmony and elegance to produce a powerful, beautiful, majestic unity. I, quite simply, wanted to learn to do the same

I have been classically trained with British Olympic and German International riders and trainers. I ride up to PSG and have trained several horses to advanced. For many years I had my own livery yard in Surrey. I moved to Sussex as I felt my needs would be better served here. Since then I've built up a wide range of pupils from all backgrounds, riding in all disciplines. In 2006 I had a very serious spinal injury, which could have left me totally paralysed or dead, but fortunately, I'm still here, and more determined than ever.

I ride and compete Internationally for New Zealand

With the help of my staff I now run Ivories Livery - http://www.ivorieslivery.co.uk.

This allows me to concentrate on training and competing my horse, and offering help and advice to my clients. I enjoy seeing my clients gain in confidence and success. I like to achieve a successful and more importantly, a happy partnership with horses
